About Commerce Risk Advisory LLC
Commerce Risk Advisory LLC is founded and led by Christian Beckner, a well-respected technology, cybersecurity and AI leader in the retail sector.
Before founding Commerce Risk Advisory, Beckner led technology and cybersecurity programs at the National Retail Federation (NRF), including leading NRF’s executive councils for retail CIOs and CISOs, and founding new NRF working groups for fraud prevention and AI leaders. Beckner led the development of the first retail sector-specific AI principles, a first-of-a-kind retail sector fraud taxonomy, and many other reports and guidance documents for sector technology and cybersecurity leaders. He is a regular speaker at industry conferences and events on AI and cybersecurity issues.
Prior to joining NRF in 2018, Beckner served in a leadership role at a cybersecurity-focused think tank in Washington, DC and as a senior-level Senate committee staffer.
